Suitable for mounting to light-weight towers or masts, the B55SS VHF airband monocone covers the entire Air Band frequency 118-137MHz. The B55SS Airband monocone antenna's true broadband capability makes it the ideal fixed position antenna for all regional or central hub airports where a variety of channels or only a single channel is used for ground-to-air or ground-to-ground communications. The B55SS VHF Air Band monocone antenna is DC grounded for reduced static 'noise' for a clearer signal and improved lightning protection. ZCG recommend the use of in-line coaxial surge protection for decreased 'noise' and superior lightining strike protection. Included in the B55SS VHF monocone kit are stainless steel tag wires for once the radials are installed, they will greatly reduce environmental damage due to birds.
